Puig launches digital perfume platform WikiParfum
WikiParfum, a website devoted to all things perfume, was unveiled by Puig.
The Barcelona-based beauty and fashion firm, which represents labels like Nina Ricci, Byredo, Jean Paul Gaultier, and Dries Van Noten, called WikiParfum a "huge online compendium" of knowledgeable material, functionality, and features.
The platform was created to allow users to browse, contrast, and select perfumes from a continuously updated library that has about 19,600 scents at this time.
Puig claims that WikiParfum enables customers to learn what a perfume smells like before purchasing it.
It includes a brand-new mobile app in addition to a seven language, enhanced website at wikiparfum.com.
A computerised tool organises the 1,400 images of the raw materials used in perfumery into a visual representation when a user searches for a fragrance on the internet or the mobile app.
According to Puig, this aroma visualiser enables the user to "see" the fragrance.
When an ingredient is placed on a black background, it is more intense; when it is displayed on a white background, it is less intense. The larger the image, the more prominent the ingredient.
